Medical Studies Prove Hip Braces Improves Lifestyle.
"...Wearing the brace would appear to reduce the compressive joint reaction force at the femuroacetabular interface as indicated by a reduction in internal hip abduction moment along with immediate pain reduction in nine participants. Further long-term studies are warranted. Clinical relevance The brace rotates the hip in the transverse and coronal planes, possibly resulting in a decrease in load through the diseased area of cartilage. In some patients, an immediate decrease in pain was experienced. The brace offers an alternative solution for hip osteoarthritis patients not ready for a hip replacement...'"

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hip Abduction Brace is typically used after a person has dislocated his/her hip or after a hip replacement revision surgery. The brace holds the femur (thigh) in the hip socket. It is used to prevent excessive motion in the hip to promote healing
How long will I need to wear a hip brace after surgery?
The length of time required to wear a hip abduction brace will depend on the type of surgery you had, the severity of the dislocation (and if there were any fractures), bone and ligament strength, your lifestyle and activity, age and unique anatomy. Most often a brace is worn between two and four weeks for surgery recoveries and a few weeks to a month or two for hip dislocations.
Does this come with Instructions to use ?
Yes, however, we strongly encourage you to visit your medical practitioner or health care provider, who will adjust it to SUIT your medical needs to maximize the brace's effectiveness. The instructions are broad and might not apply to your current condition.
How will it feel? Should I expect discomfort?
The brace may feel a little limiting. It is meant to stabilize the joint and prevent excessive movement.
If the brace is loose or moves, make sure that the straps are snug.
If the brace is digging into your hip, make sure it is positioned correctly and adjust the straps–they may need to be tighter.
If you experience pain due to the brace call your doctor, as the brace itself should not be painful.
You may experience pain as a result from the injury, be it a dislocation, microfracture or surgery.
Can you tighten the hinge so that it keeps the leg straight?
Yes, you can. It comes with inserts for the hinge to set the angle you want. Set your desired Flexion and Extension.
Can insurance help pay for it?
Hip braces are often covered by insurance when they’re prescribed as medically necessary by a doctor. Check with your provider for details.
Will it fix the injury or pain by itself?
The brace supports healing and stability, but it’s usually part of a broader treatment plan that can include physical therapy and doctor follow-ups
Is this different from a regular hip sleeve?
Yes , unlike a sleeve (which mainly compresses), a hip abduction brace limits movement and stabilizes the hip joint through a structured frame
Will it fix the injury or pain by itself?
The brace supports healing and stability, but it’s usually part of a broader treatment plan that can include physical therapy and doctor follow-ups
